Muskrats live on the Grand Canal. They are peaceful, non-agressive, curious animals which bear a great similarity to Beavers. They're sometimes seen basking in the sun in a waterfront yard.
Swans travel the Grand Canal all year long.
Here is an Osprey (aka Fish Hawk) atop a tree in the Pickman-Remmer wetland. As the name implies, they primarily feed on fish.
